Welcome to the Sligo/Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team website! Our dedicated team of volunteers are committed to providing prompt and professional search and rescue services to anyone in need on the mountains of Sligo and Leitrim whenever requested. With years of experience and training, we are equipped to handle a wide range of emergencies, from medical emergencies to missing persons. Our goal is to ensure the safety of all those who venture into the mountains and to bring those in need back to their loved ones as quickly and safely as possible. We also strive to educate and inform the public about safe mountain practices, so everyone can enjoy the beauty of the mountains with peace of mind. Our volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They receive no compensation or allowances for their efforts, time and personal expense.
